Facebook Developer Garage f8 Special Edition
Posted by Alexandra Lilienthal in Events, July 24th, 2008In spite of the short notice approximately 30 people from the Web 2.0 community met up for a special edition of the Facebook Developer Garage yesterday. The European Founders Fund has invited to the TopTarif offices in Berlin.
The participants had the chance to chat with Facebook developers from different continents and watched Mark Zuckberg’s (CEO Facebook) and Ben Ling’s (Director of Platform) keynote live from the f8 conference in San Francisco.
Thanks to organizer Miriam Rupp the minimal catering didn’t effect the casual atmosphere of the event
.
Alexander Kudlich and Sebastian Wallroth from zanox’ HQ in Berlin mix and mingeled with new and old friends from other developer events like Facebook Developer Garage Hamburg, TechCrunch Meetup Berlin and the Monetization 2.0 Camp.
Mark Zuckerberg mentioned in his keynote that more than 50% of today’s Facebook traffic is non-american, compared to 10% in February. This development shows that Facebook is becoming a global player. This gives developers the chance to extend their applications to a wider audience. With zanox Web Services Facebook developers can monetize these applications on a global scale.
