And least we had about ten minutes to work really hard – while also working really hard on our tan:

Short-term fun though – this is how lovely Berlin summer looked just a few minutes later:

Let’s just hope it changes back to sun-and-heat mode as quickly as it just did and wishing you all a sunny weekend!

It was the biggest video shoot we’ve ever had: Yesterday, we gathered more than 100 zanox employees right at the river Spree for what we expect will be the highlight of our new zanox film (yet a surprise!). The Web Services office turned into the high-tech camera set with a massive window crane. Animators, directors, cameramen, photographers and many helpers were around all day to make all this happen. Big thanks to Laliaflia. And our employees proved to be potential movie stars! We are already very excited about the final result, which will be presented next week during our zanox Summer Party, the world’s biggest and hottest Publisher party! To give you some first insights, here are some impressions of the big shoot:

This is a little side note, especially for our non-German readers: If you should have tried to get hold on somebody on the phone these days, especially in the area of Cologne, and all you could hear was some weird German oompah music and people yelling “Alaaf” or “Helau” in the background, you should know that this strange behaviour is is an important part of German culture. It’s Carnival high season – or the fifth season, as we call it. You usually wear silly clothes, watch never-ending parades and try to catch as many sweets as possible. And, of course, eat jelly dougnuts, some of them decorated with funny faces or hats. And even if Berlin is not a German carnival stronghold, a bakery close to the zanox HQ sells the biggest jelly doughnuts you have ever seen! As a proof, we took a picture of our “Pfannkuchen” (as we call them here in Berlin), compared to a golf ball. And we equipped them with some funny German carneval hats. Helau and Alaaf everybody!
