Starting with the BarCamp Berlin 3 more than 800 visitors and a wide range of presentations; followed by the Facebook Garage on Monday at the zanox GAP Campus. The official Web 2.0 Expo started on the 21st and hosted an international crowd of Web 2.0 advocates. The LateCrunch event was a big highlight with more than 300 guests.

We are proud that we were part of this exciting week, not only by hosting and sponsoring the main events but also by contributing our own event. Luckily people were not too tired after a full week of events to celebrate the finale of our zanox Web Services Contest.

We think the Berlin Web Week has been a great success and we are happy that we took actively part – we enjoyed it a lot!

Many thanks to everyone who made this Berlin Web Week happen.

On 24th October 2008 the zanox GAP Campus hosted another great event: the zanox Web Services Contest Finale – Night of Innovations 2008.

More than 200 people – contest participants and supporters, investors, online marketers, web 2.0 fans and zanoxees – excitingly awaited the announcement of the winners. Servtag, Webtrekk and triboo were the lucky ones!

In a relaxed atmosphere people talked not only about the 3 winning teams but enjoyed drinks and snacks along with the ‘RoboCup’, a live soccer performance by Freie Universität robots.

Past Friday piabo had invited 8 other Berliner Internet companies to gather for a nice afternoon/ evening in the sand.

Berlin also has its beaches – this one especially for Beach Volleyball. Here the water doesn’t come from the ocean but down from the sky in little drops… Despite the bad weather conditions the zanox team was close to Olympia shape. We missed the final by few points. Congratulations to mokono who were the winners of the tournament! Well played!

zanox now is back in training for the next tournament to bring home a gold medal!

Past Sunday more than 100 innovative start-ups from Israel and Berlin joined the Israel-Berlin Entrepreneurs Night at the recently opened zanox GAP Campus.

After a short welcome and the introduction of the 1 Million Euro Contest attendees mixed and mingled at the Campus. According to the theme of the night: innovation and soccer, hands-on tabletop soccer, the two Euro Cup matches of the night and inspiring conversations about online business and innovation made the night a big success for all parties.

On Monday zanox exhibited among others at the “Israel Innovation Day: Media” to connect with new and existing contacts.

Overall it has been a great experience to have had the opportunity to network with start-ups from two great regions of innovation. We are looking forward to more events like this to come – maybe in Israel next time.
